Spindle Selection

The Jet Spindle comes in a number of different models to
provide the optimal solution for a wide range of applications.
Spindle selection is based on the following parameters:

  • Machine coolant pressure
  • Coolant flow rate
  • Required rotational spindle speed
  • Cutting tool diameter

    *Notes:

  • Rotational spindle speed is based on coolant pressure and flow rate.
  • Coolant pressure is measured from the spindle inlet.

Modular Jet Spindles with

NOTE: To reach required speeds using BT adaptor models, the internal diameter of the pull stud must be at least 4.0 mm. This will allow sufficient coolant pressure for proper Jet Spindle performance.

  • Jet Spindles are available in two rotation directions: Right-hand or Left-hand
    • 20K (from 20.000 up to 40.000 rpm)
      relative to coolant pressure range 20-40 bar
    • 30K (from 30.000 up to 50.000 rpm)
      relative to coolant pressure range 20-40 bar
    • 40K (from 40.000 up to 60.000 rpm)
      based on coolant pressure range 20-40 bar
